Connecting Through Gardening Speaker Series

Connecting Through Gardening invites gardeners of all skill levels to join us for a series of engaging workshops held at various community centres including Oakridge, Cedarbrae, and Braeside.

These sessions are scheduled from April to September, each starting at 6:30 pm and ending at 8:30 pm and will be led by the amazing Master Gardener Janet Melrose, Calgary’s Cottage Gardener.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, these gatherings offer invaluable tips, techniques, and a chance to connect with fellow gardening enthusiasts.

Prices are $10.00 per session or a special rate of $50.00 for all six sessions, and participants will delve into the practical aspects of gardening, share experiences, and even exchange some great tips.

This series is a perfect opportunity to grow your gardening knowledge and community roots!

Storyfest Carnival | April 20, 2024

Join us at the Oakridge Community Centre on April 20, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for the Storyfest Carnival, a fun afternoon dedicated to our love of reading and celebrating 25 years of the Oakridge Community Association Before and Afterschool Care program.

This unique event invites children to dive into a world where stories come to life, filled with games, activities, and storytelling sessions.

While admission is free, attendees are required to register for a free play pass to participate in the games. The Storyfest Carnival promises to be a memorable experience, fostering a love for reading and imaginative play among children.
