Learn to Play Pickleball
Our small group Introduction to Pickleball courses are perfect for new players eager to learn this exciting sport. Spanning two days, each session lasts 2.5 hours, providing ample time to grasp the essentials and practice in a supportive environment.
Day one focuses on the fundamentals, including familiarizing yourself with the ball, paddle, rules and basic moves. These initial lessons take place indoors on our squash courts, ensuring a comfortable and controlled setting for beginners.
Day two builds on the skills learned on day one, transitioning to a full-size outdoor pickleball court. Here, you will continue to develop your techniques and enjoy the game in a more spacious environment.
Dates and times for the sessions will be arranged by our experienced pickleball instructor, ensuring a schedule that works for you. Whether you want to join as an individual or bring a group of friends, our courses offer a fantastic opportunity to learn and have fun together.

Fees: $25.00 per person OR $100.00 for a group of 4 to 6 players

Oakridge Community Association Membership
Membership with the OCA is your gateway to being part of the clubs and committees at the Oakridge Community Centre, including the Oakridge Racquet Club (ORC), Oakridge Community Garden (OCG), Oh My Oakridge (OMO) and Oakridge Quick Fit Circuit Training.
As a member of the Oakridge Community Association, you gain access to free ice skating on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (September to March), providing ample opportunities for winter enjoyment. Additionally, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (September to March) offer free Sticks and Pucks/Rings sessions, enhancing the experience for those with a penchant for ice sports.
Beyond personal benefits, your membership contributes to the community’s vibrancy by allowing us to offer a variety of community events.
