Rental Spaces

The Oakridge Community Centre offers two spaces for rent.  Our board room can accommodate up to 10 people for a meeting or our event space can be booked for an entire Saturday to hold your special event. 

Board Room Rentals

Our rentable board room is a great place to hold a meeting or study session.  Located on our second level, this space provides a quiet place to concentrate on work.

Available to book for as few as two hours to an entire day.

Capacity – The board room can accomodate up to 10 people.

Hours – Available Mondays to Fridays from 9:00am to 9:00pm

Rental Fees – $25.00 per hour for the General Public  |  $20.00 per hour for OCA Members

Event Space Rentals

Please note:  Due to recurring programming and rentals we currently have no hourly rental options available Sunday to Friday.  Our event space is rented out on Saturdays by the day only.

Are you looking for a location to hold your next event?  Our event space rental includes the use of all facilities on our second level.

Our main hall can accommodate a variety of activities from sit down dinning events to DJ pumping dance parties.

The commercial kitchen is spacious and great for preparing food for your guests or having your bartender serve up frosty beverages all night long.

The boardroom can be used a staging area for special guests, door prizes or maybe just extra storage for decorations.

Plus, washrooms on this level mean your guests never have to leave the party.

Please note:  Our second level is acceissible with a chair lift however our building does not have an elevator.

Capacity

We can comfortably accommodate different styles of events.  These are the recommended capacities to ensure your guests have enough space to enjoy your activities.  Please book a viewing if you have other ideas and would like to see if the space would work for you.

Sit Down Dining Event With Six Foot Round Tables – Approximately 80 people

  • Ten round tables with eight padded chairs at each.
  • Space for additional tables along walls for decorations, food items, beverage items etc.

Sit Down Dining Event With Eight Foot Rectangle Tables – Approximately 102 people

  • Seventeen three foot by eight foot rectangle tables with six padded chairs at each.
  • Space for additional tables along walls for decorations, food items, beverage items etc.

Social Event / Market With People Mingling Throughout The Space – Approximately 125 people

  • Ten to Twelve three foot by eight foot rectangle tables with chairs at each.
  • Space for additional tables along walls for decorations, food items, beverage items etc.

Presentation / Theater Style Event – Approximately 80 – 150

  • Total number of people depending on set up.
  • Chairs only for attendees
  • Space for additional tables along walls for decorations, food items, beverage items etc.

Availability

Our event space is rented by the day and is available on Saturdays only.

Your rental will include use of the space from 8:30am on the day of your rental allowing you an early start to set up for event.

Your rental will include use of the space until 11:45pm the same day.

Overnight storage for your decorations and pick up on Sunday (between 9:00am and 3:00pm) is included in your rental fee.

Rental Fees

All rental fees include the use and set up of tables and chairs for your event, post event cleaning, and the use of the space for the entire day.  Optional items to enhance your event are available to purchase for an additional fee.

Bookings Without Alcohol Being Served – $700.00

Bookings With Alcohol Being Served – $850.00

All rentals with alcohol being served will include a staff bartender onsite to ensure AGLC’s liquor license requirements are met. 

Please note:  Alcohol is not included and must be purchased separately.

Rental fees are due upon confirmation of your booking and are non-refundable.

 

Damage Deposit

A refundable damage deposit of $700.00 is due the business day prior to your event and will be returned to you the business day following your event.

Additional Requirements

All rentals at the Oakridge Community Centre require event insurance with the Oakridge Community Association named as an additional insured.

The Oakridge Community Association does not provide insurance but you can obtain a quote from a third party provider such as Event Policy or Duuo Insurance.

All events where alcohol will be served will require a liquor license issued by the AGLC.

Insurance and liquor licenses (if applicable) must be submitted no later than two weeks prior to your event.

If you have confirmed your date is available and would like to see the event space prior to booking, please book a viewing.

Our viewing times work around our recurring renter’s schedules and the space is only available to view during certain times of the day.
