Join us for a day filled with excitement, fitness, and community spirit at the Oakridge Run! Lace up your running shoes and get ready to make a difference in the Oakridge community. This event offers a variety of race distances to cater to all fitness levels and ages. Whether you’re an experienced runner, a casual jogger, or someone who loves to walk and enjoy the outdoors, all abilities are welcome!
Start Time:
8:30am for the 3K/6K/10K run
10:00am for the free Kids 1K run (for kids under 12), staggered starts for different age categories
Location:
Start/Finish at the Oakridge Community Association, 1K kids fun run, 3K/6K/10K run though Oakridge pathways and Rotary/Mattamy Greenway from Weaselhead to Anderson.
Fundraising for Oh MY Oakridge:
The Oakridge Run is more than just a run; it’s an opportunity to contribute to our community’s growth. This year, we’re fundraising for the Oakridge Way Park upgrade in 2024. Any surplus funds will be allocated to our ongoing masterplan initiative, enhancing Oakridge’s greenspaces and fostering a vibrant environment for everyone. By participating in the Oakridge Run, you’ll be supporting the improvement of the Oakridge community and helping to create a more vibrant and enjoyable environment for all residents.

Thanks to donations by our friends and business partners we will have a special draw on race day. The earlier you register the more entries you will have for an amazing prize pack.
Fun Fundraising Activities:
This year, we’re introducing new fundraising activities, including a bottle drive. Bring your bottles to the event and contribute to the community spirit while supporting our initiatives. It’s a fun way to give back while enjoying the Oakridge Run experience.
Introducing the 3K Fun Walk/Run:
Embracing inclusivity, we’ve added a 3K distance to cater to walkers and those starting their running journey. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just want to enjoy a leisurely stroll, there’s a space for everyone.
Revamped Pricing with Early Bird Specials:
We’ve made registering even more enticing with early bird pricing options. The earlier you register the more you will save.
3K Run: A shorter, leisurely route perfect for walkers and those starting their running journey.
6K Run: Is perfect for participants who are looking for a fun and enjoyable route that showcases the beauty of the Oakridge community. Walkers are also encouraged to participate.
10K Run: For those seeking a longer challenge, the 10K run will take you through the scenic pathways of Oakridge and provide a fulfilling experience for runners and walkers of all abilities.
Kids 1K Run (for kids under 12): Let your little ones join the excitement with a 1K run designed specifically for children. It’s a great opportunity for them to have fun and stay active! Thanks to the generous support from the Calgary Foundation, the Kids 1K run is free for all participants under 12 years old.
